Known as the "toughest footrace on Earth" the Marathon des Sables challenges runners to traverse 250 kilometers across the Sahara Desert over six days. Event Highlights
Ultimate Endurance Test: Participants must carry all their supplies for the entire race, including food, sleeping gear, and emergency materials. Only water and tents are provided by the organizers.
Extreme Conditions: Runners face temperatures exceeding 50°C (122°F) during the day, dropping to near freezing at night. The terrain varies from endless sand dunes to rocky plateaus and dried river beds.
